Jayhawk Area Agency on Aging to hold public hearing on transportation, caregiver services
The Jayhawk Area Agency on Aging will host a public hearing at 1:30 p.m. on July 20 at the Douglas County United Way, 2518 Ridge Ct.
The hearing will focus on services funded by the Older Americans Act for 2012, and discussion items will include home-delivered meals, transportation, in-home care and caregiver services.
A local aspect of the 2012 plan includes the closing of several meal sites, including the Douglas County Senior Center and Clinton Place Apartments meal sites.
