Governor to announce new regents Friday
Topeka ? Gov. Sam Brownback will announce his three appointments to the Kansas Board of Regents Friday.
Brownback has scheduled a 10:30 a.m. Statehouse news conference for the announcement.
The nine-member board is the governing board of the state’s six public universities, and the coordinating board for the state’s 32 public higher education institutions.
This includes seven public universities, 19 community colleges and six technical colleges.
Terms have ended for Jarold “Jerry” Boettcher of Manhattan; Richard Hedges of Fort Scott and Gary Sherrer of Overland Park. Sherrer had resigned in May.
