Medics were responding Wednesday morning to a rollover accident on the Kansas Turnpike west of Lawrence, although a law enforcement officer reported minor injuries.

According to emergency dispatchers, the rollover accident was reported at 8:20 a.m. in the westbound lanes of Interstate 70 four miles west of the Lecompton Interchange.

An officer at the scene reported to dispatchers that one person was believed to have suffered minor injuries. Lawrence Douglas County Fire and Medical workers at 8:30 a.m. reported one car was in the ditch with major damage.
