Concordia — A former Cloud County jail administrator is suing the county commission, saying she was fired after she complained about sexual harassment from her co-workers.
The allegations are detailed in a lawsuit filed this month in federal court in Wichita. Jamie Biery, who was fired in December, is seeking more than $75,000 for damages. She also wants to be reinstated and to have her legal expenses paid.
The Salina Journal reported Friday that the complaint says that Biery was told to either resign or be fired for misusing her stun gun, but county officials did not provide any evidence of the alleged misuse.
Cloud County Commission chairman Johnita Crawford says the commission had only recently heard about the lawsuit and had not yet discussed it with any law enforcement officials.
