Salina ? Salina police are investigating a man’s beating death as a homicide.

The Salina Journal reports that preliminary autopsy results show 48-year-old Robert Unselt died of repeated blows causing massive head trauma.

Capt. Mike Sweeney said Unselt had bruising, as well as massive head injuries. Police are seeking the assailants.

Unselt’s wife said she saw him being beaten early Sunday by three people in a driveway across the street from his mother’s house in south Salina. Unselt died later Sunday.
