A 36-year-old Lawrence woman was taken to Lawrence Memorial Hospital on Friday morning after a two-vehicle accident at McDonald Drive and Rockledge Road, just north of Sixth and Iowa streets.

Sgt. Ted Bordman, a Lawrence police spokesman, said a 28-year-old Lawrence man who was headed east on Rockledge Road in a 1998 Saturn car stopped at a stop sign and then pulled out in front of the woman’s 1987 BMW she was driving south on McDonald Drive. The crash occurred at 7:55 a.m. Friday.

The woman’s injuries were not life-threatening, Bordman said. No one else was injured. Officers did cite the man for inattentive driving.
