Jeremy Gates, 34, of Lawrence, remained in fair condition Friday at Stormont-Vail Regional Health Center in Topeka, a hospital spokeswoman said. Gates and Patrick Bray, 17, of Lawrence, were injured in a one-vehicle accident Thursday morning east of Lawrence on North 1500 Road. A condition update for Bray, who sheriff’s officers said was taken to Kansas University Hospital in Kansas City, Kan., was not available Friday.
