KUSports.com was honored as one of the top sports sites in the nation by the Associated Press Sports Editors Tuesday.

The site earned top-10 distinction among sites with fewer than 500,000 unique monthly visitors.

Though the top 10 are not ranked, other sites in KUSports.com’s class that were recognized included the Bloomington Herald News and the Tuscaloosa News. Other top-10 finishers in larger categories included USA Today, the Chicago Tribune and Dallas Morning News.

KUSports.com also was honored by the APSE as a top 10 site in 2010.

Websites were evaluated by a national panel of seven judges, who looked at content, design and interactive elements.
