A former Kansas University chancellor and his wife are moving from their Lawrence home to Lenexa.

Robert Hemenway, who stepped down as KU’s 16th chancellor in 2009, and his wife, Leah, had lived in a house on West Hills Parkway since leaving the chancellor’s residence.

Leah Hemenway said the couple was making the move to be closer to family.

“One of our kids lives there,” she said. “And we have grandkids there.”
