Helicopter requested for injury accident in Baldwin City
A Lawrence woman was life-flighted to an area hospital after a one-car accident on 466 E. 1700 Rd. in Baldwin City Saturday night, a Douglas County Sheriff’s spokesman said.
Amber Stacey, 16, was driving a Toyota Solara north when she lost control of the car and crashed into a ditch on the west side of the road, according to Sgt. Steve Lewis.
Emergency crews arrived on the scene around 9:30 p.m. and later requested a helicopter ambulance. Stacey was flown to Kansas University Hospital in Kansas City, Kan.
