Overbrook will be hosting a 5K and fun run as part of its Santa Fe Trail Festival Sept. 17. Proceeds will go toward improvements to Overbrook Park.

Interested runners and walkers can register at Overbrook City Hall, 401 Maple St., or by emailing overbrookpride@embarqmail.com, said Amanda Cook, president of the group Overbrook Pride. Pre-registration completed before Sept. 1 is $20 and $25 if completed after.

The 5K will begin at 8 a.m. from the Overbrook City Lake shelter house and the one-mile fun run/walk at 9 a.m. An awards ceremony will be held at 9:30 a.m.
