15th Street now open to all traffic
Construction crews have completed work on 15th Street, and it’s now open to traffic.
The road had originally been scheduled to open on Tuesday, which would have been four days ahead of schedule, but construction crews were delayed by rain last Friday and Monday.
The street has been closed from Burdick Drive, which is west of Green Hall on the Kansas University campus, to Naismith Drive since shortly after the KU commencement in May.
Crews completed the last lift of asphalt on Wednesday and were completing striping, cleaning and fence relocation before opening the road.
