Downed power lines — due to strong winds — have caused several power outages across Lawrence, according to emergency dispatch scanner traffic.

A recent report was of a power line down near the corner of 5th and Mississippi streets.

According to Westar Energy’s power outage map, nearly 100 Douglas County residents are without power as of 2:40 p.m.

Power outages seemed to be concentrated to an area near 9th and Iowa streets, as well as near 23rd and Iowa streets.
