A 24-year-old Lawrence man employed by Colson and Colson, a Lawrence general contractor, reported to Lawrence police that someone had stolen $1,000 worth of 2.5-inch copper pipe from a construction site at 4430 Bauer Farm Drive, near West Sixth Street and Wakarusa Drive. The theft occurred between 6 p.m. Monday and 7 a.m. Tuesday.
