Animal Legal Defense Fund will present “It’s Our Turn to Fight for Them,” a symposium addressing animal cruelty and dog fighting prosecution, at 10 a.m. Monday at the Burge Union.

Experts on prosecuting cases will be present at the symposium, including two people who were involved in prosecuting Michael Vick for the dog fighting ring on his property. Also at the event will be a Michigan attorney speaking about how to get high conviction rates in dog fighting cases and a professor speaking about how to get law students involved in prosecution.
