Lawrence Humane Society’s annual Mutt ’n Strut Charity Walk moves to Watson Park
Lawrence Humane Society’s annual Mutt ‘n’ Strut Charity Walk will move to a new location this year: Watson Park, Seventh and Kentucky streets.
This year’s walk, on May 7, has a theme of promoting health and wellness through animal companionship.
Registration will be from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., and the walk will start at 10 a.m.
Don “Red Dog” Gardner will start the day with warm-ups and stretching for walkers.
There will be contests for dogs, exhibitor booths, games and demonstrations. Prizes will be awarded for collecting the most pledges.
To register, visit lawrencehumane.org or pick up a form at the animal shelter, local vets or pet product stores in Lawrence. The deadline to register is April 30.
