Six honored as KU Women’s Hall of Fame inductees
Six Kansas University administrators and alumni have been honored as inductees into KU’s Women’s Hall of Fame.
The 2011 inductees are:
• Sheila Bair, chairwoman of the U.S. Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. She earned a bachelor’s degree and a law degree from KU.
• Gloria Farha Flentje, senior vice president of Spirit AeroSystems, a Wichita-based international firm with more than 13,000 employees. She earned a bachelor’s degree from KU.
• Lynn Bretz, KU’s director of university communications. She earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees from KU.
• Hannah Britton, the director of the Center for International Political Research at KU’s Institute for Policy and Social Research. She has been a member of the KU faculty since 2005.
• Katherine Rose-Mockry, program director of the Emily Taylor Women’s Resource Center at KU. She earned a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree from KU.
• Patricia A. Thomas, associate dean for cultural enhancement and diversity at KU Medical Center. She earned a master’s degree from KU and has been on the faculty at KUMC since 1997.
