Emergency preparedness focus of weekend fair
Area residents this weekend will have a chance to receive information and products to help them assemble an emergency preparedness kit.
Leaders with Douglas County Emergency Management and the Lawrence-Douglas County Fire and Medical department will host a preparedness fair from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Douglas County Fairgrounds.
Attendees will receive items to put in an emergency kit and there will be drawings for door prizes.
