Tree falls on power line southwest of Lawrence, knocks out service to Westar Energy customers
About 80 Westar Energy customers lost power southwest of Lawrence Wednesday morning, according to the company’s website.
The outage affected customers near the 1000 block of N. 900 Road and was caused by a tree that fell on a power line, according to Westar Energy spokesman Leonard Allen.
Power was restored to all customers in Douglas County about 1:30 p.m.
