Bridge work to cause delays starting Monday on Kansas Highway 10

Starting on Monday, traffic will be reduced to one lane on a short stretch of Kansas Highway 10 in Johnson County.

To complete repair work on a bridge spanning the Union Pacific Railroad, the Kansas Department of Transportation will reduce eastbound traffic to one lane from Woodland Avenue to Ridgeview Road.

Crews will work on the left side of the bridge first and then the right side. Traffic will be restricted to an 11-foot maximum lane width during the project and speed limits will be set at 45 miles per hour.

Drivers should anticipate minor delays and are asked to find alternate routes.

Weather permitting, the work is scheduled to be completed by early October.
