A brief thunderstorm that moved through southern Douglas County led to a brief severe thunderstorm warning in the area.

A storm with quarter-sized hail and damaging winds in excess of 70 mph moved across northern Franklin and extreme southern Douglas County.

By 5:10 p.m., the storm had subsided and moved out of Douglas County, leading the National Weather Service to cancel the warning early.

Areas to the south of Douglas County are under a severe thunderstorm watch, but no watches or warnings are currently in effect for Douglas County.
