Just Food, the Douglas County food bank, is adjusting its hours starting Monday.

Carolyn Ward, interim coordinator, said the goal is to better serve working customers and partner pantries.

On Mondays, the bank will be open later. The new hours are from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.

On Wednesdays, the bank will be closed to customers so it can focus on the delivery and pickup needs of its partner pantries. Those are Trinity Interfaith Food Pantry, Salvation Army, Community Living Opportunities, New Life Assembly of God, Heritage Baptist Church and Stull United Methodist.

The bank’s Tuesday, Thursday and Friday hours remain the same. They are from 9 a.m. to noon and from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
