Manhattan ? Thieves took off with about $30,000 in cell phones from a T-Mobile kiosk in a Manhattan shopping mall.

The Riley County Police Department says the theft occurred overnight between Oct. 24 and 25.

The Manhattan Mercury reports that the thieves pried open the doors to cabinets where the phones are kept overnight.

Police Capt. Kurt Moldrup says it’s not known how the criminals got into the mall after it was closed.
