Topeka ? Free State’s duo of Kelly Phipps and Alexis Czapinski finished sixth at the Class 6A state tennis tournament on Saturday at Kossover Center.

Phipps and Czapinski won two matches and lost one on the final day.

Lawrence High’s doubles team of Taylor Eubanks and Morgan Manger also went 2-1 and finished in eighth place.

Caitlyn Tilden and Libby Hillis, Free State’s second doubles team, finished in 10th place after finishing the day 1-2.

Free State placed sixth as a team.
