Wichita ? Police say a 43-year-old man died after he was hit by a train in downtown Wichita.

The man was hit early Thursday by a Burlington Northern train hauling empty rail cars that was traveling about 25 mph hour.

Wichita police Sgt. Roger Runft says the man has been identified as Ricky Loughry. He apparently was sleeping on the tracks when he was hit.

Wichita Police Lt. Steven Kenney says there was no indication that the death was a suicide.
