Topeka man arrested after burglary, chase

A 53-year-old Topeka man was arrested late Saturday night on charges of aggravated battery, burglary, theft, criminal damage to property and obstruction in the 2400 block of West 27th Street.

According to Douglas County emergency dispatchers, police were dispatched to the area about 11:30 p.m. Saturday for a burglary call. The suspect was located and police pursued him. The suspect tried to drive between two police cars, striking one, which later led to the aggravated battery charge. He was later apprehended.
