In conjunction with Saturday’s River City Reading Festival activities, the Lawrence Arts Center, 940 N.H., will put on a story time reading at 1 p.m. Monday.

Librarian Kim Fletcher will read during the event, which will also feature a visit by “the mermaid” from the reading festival’s poster.

The River City Reading Festival on Saturday is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Lawrence Public Library, 707 Vt. Several area authors will read and sign books at the event, which will include various activities targeted at pre-kindergarten through sixth-grade children. The event is partially sponsored by the Altrusa Club.
