Hundreds line up at Andover, Kan. grocery store for Sarah Palin book signing

? Hundreds turned out to get a glimpse of former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin signing books at a southern Kansas grocery store.

That includes about 100 who spent the night Saturday outside a Dillons store in Andover hoping to be at the front of the line to see her.

Media members weren’t allowed behind a black curtain where Palin was signing books, other than to take pictures of her.

The Wichita Eagle reports Jane Keliher of Wichita was first in line, arriving at the store at 8 p.m. Saturday. Others in line included Wichita resident Gib Schwemmer, who said he wrote in Palin’s name for Kansas governor in the most recent election.

Palin was in town Sunday promoting her new book, “America by Heart: Reflections on Family, Faith and Flag.”
