Kansas farmers wrap up 2010 fall harvest

? Kansas farmers are wrapping up this season’s harvest of row crops.

Kansas Agricultural Statistics Service reported Monday that just 2 percent of the sorghum and 6 percent of the sunflowers remain in the fields.

The agency said that 92 percent of the winter wheat crop has now emerged.

The crop’s condition is rated as 4 percent excellent, 32 percent good and 38 percent fair. The agency said 26 percent was in poor to very poor condition.
