Next week East Central Kansas Economic Opportunity Corp. will begin distributing food items in association with The Emergency Food Assistance Program. TEFAP is a program of ECKAN/Just Food, which provides commodity food items to eligible Douglas County residents. To be eligible for this particular food program, participants must have signed up previously at the Just Food agency in Lawrence.

The distribution will take place on Thursday at two locations. From 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. the agency will be distributing food items at the Just Food Warehouse, 1200 E. 11th St., Lawrence. Items will also be available from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Eudora City Hall. For more information, contact Just Food at 856-7030.
