Kansas State 39, Texas 14

Manhattan — Collin Klein and Daniel Thomas ran for two touchdowns apiece, and Kansas State intercepted Garrett Gilbert five times en route to a victory Saturday night over struggling, mistake-prone Texas.

Thomas ran 34 yards for a touchdown on the second play from scrimmage, and things went downhill from there for the Longhorns (4-5, 2-4 Big 12), who are guaranteed their worst record in Mack Brown’s 14 years as coach. The victory made Kansas State (6-3, 3-3) bowl-eligible for the first time since 2006.

Klein, a surprise starter at quarterback over Carson Coffman, rushed for 127 yards and scored on runs of 12 and 10 yards.

Gilbert, the 6-foot-4 sophomore who replaced Colt McCoy this season, put more passes in Kansas State hands than did Klein, who was 2-for-4 for nine yards. Klein’s only completions were short tosses to Thomas, who went over the 1,000-yard rushing mark with 106 yards on 18 carries.

Texas Tech 24, No. 14 Missouri 17

Lubbock, Texas — Taylor Potts came off the bench and threw for 188 yards and three touchdowns to lead Texas Tech over Missouri on Saturday.

Potts didn’t start for the first time this season, but came in late in the first half and threw TD passes of 8, 5 and 16 yards on three straight possessions by the Red Raiders (5-4, 3-4 Big 12) spanning the halves to wipe out a 17-3 deficit.

Texas A&M 33, No. 11 Oklahoma 19

College Station, Texas — Ryan Tannehill threw for 225 yards and two touchdowns, Cyrus Gray added 122 yards rushing and another score, and Texas A&M broke a seven-game losing streak to Oklahoma.

Texas A&M won its third straight overall and beat the Sooners for the first time since 2002.

The Aggies built a 19-0 lead and withstood a 17-point third quarter rally by Oklahoma before adding two touchdowns early in the fourth quarter.

Texas A&M never trailed.

Ames, Iowa — Eric Hagg intercepted a pass by Iowa State holder Daniel Kuehl on a fake conversion kick in overtime, and Nebraska held off Iowa State in a thrilling final meeting between the two schools as Big 12 rivals.

No. 19 Oklahoma St. 55, No. 22 Baylor 28

Stillwater, Okla. — Justin Blackmon had 173 yards receiving and a touchdown and also scored on a 69-yard run in his return from a suspension, leading Oklahoma State past Baylor with first place in the Big 12 South on the line.
