San Diego ? Five Kansas University tennis players and two doubles teams advanced to the semifinals of their respective brackets Friday afternoon at the San Diego State Fall Classic II.

In singles, Ekaterina Morozova and Sara Lazarevic advanced to the semifinals of the Red Singles Draw for KU.

In the Gold Singles Draw, Erin Wilbert advanced to the semifinals by beating UC Irvine’s Franziska Goettsching.

Monica Pezzotti defeated Irvine’s Hannah Holiday in the Silver Draw, and Dylan Windom moved on in the Pink Draw with a victory over Loyola Marymount’s Shauna Morgan.

The Jayhawks’ doubles team of Windom and Paulina Los held off a San Diego State team in the Red Doubles Draw. Morozova and Wilbert also tallied a doubles victory over a team from Washington.
