Project Graduation winners named

Hours after she graduated from Lawrence High School, Arianne Suchy walked away the owner of not one, but two major prizes at Project Graduation, which ended early Monday.

Suchy won the major prize — a 2001 Mazda 6 from Laird Noller Automotive — during the parent-organized alcohol- and drug-free event at Abe and Jake’s Landing for all Lawrence graduating seniors. She also won a Sprint phone in a separate drawing.

Winners of other major prizes were:

• Dorm-room refrigerator — Derek Hout, Free State.

• Sprint phones — Kendall Goodden, Free State, and Suchy.

• Journal-World scholarship — Matthias Reiber, LHS.

• $250 scholarships — Whitney Demby and Samantha Schwartz, both of LHS.

• Camera — Byllye-Jo Clendon, Free State.

• Printers — Matt Goering, Free State, and Amy Trompeter, LHS.

• Television — Brogan Mielke and Susan Wilson, both of Free State, and Mark Laskowski, LHS.

• XBox — Travis Jacobsen, LHS.

• Nintendo Wii — Daniel Armenta, Free State, and Shelby Baker, LHS.

• Laptops — Meghan McBride and Carlin Francis, both of LHS.

• Desktops — Abigail Ramos, LHS, and Ryan Zwiener, Free State.
