Former Kansas University basketball guard Xavier Henry worked out for the Chicago Bulls on Sunday at the Bulls’ practice facility.

The Chicago Tribune indicated he was joined by Oklahoma State’s James Anderson, Fresno State’s Paul George, South Florida’s Dominique Jones, Georgia Tech’s Gani Lawal and Louisville’s Samardo Samuels.

Some mock drafts have the Bulls tapping Henry at No. 17 in the first round. Draftexpress.com has Henry going to the Milwaukee Bucks at No. 15 and Anderson to the Bulls.

Of Henry, who hit 41.8 percent of his threes, the Tribune reported: “Some of his talents may have been overlooked given he played on a team at Kansas with All-Americans at point guard (Sherron Collins) and center (Cole Aldrich).”

Of his shooting ability, Henry told the Chicago Sun Times: “At Kansas, we had two all-Americans, one down low and a slashing point guard. We needed an outside shooter, so that role made the most sense for me. When I come to these workouts, I want to show my all-around game.”

Two Jayhawks walk Hill

Kansas University senior Sherron Collins and junior Brady Morningstar took part in graduation ceremonies on Sunday. Collins, who is expected to be taken in the second round of the NBA Draft, majored in African American studies. Morningstar, who has a year of eligibility remaining, majored in communication studies. KU coach Bill Self said Sunday that Lawrence native Morningstar would start on a masters degree or pursue a second degree during the upcoming school year.
