A 32-year-old Lawrence woman was treated and released from Lawrence Memorial Hospital after being involved in a vehicle accident Thursday afternoon. According to reports from the Kansas Turnpike Authority, the accident occurred just after 1 p.m. at the end of the westbound on ramp at the West Lawrence interchange.

According to the report, the Lawrence woman was stopped to merge onto the road when she was struck from behind by a 22-year-old Topeka woman.

The Lawrence woman was transported to LMH. The Topeka woman was not injured in the accident.
