The city’s parks and recreation department is seeking volunteers to help plant flowers in downtown Lawrence.

From 9 a.m. to noon Saturday the department is seeking abut a dozen volunteers to work on flower beds along Massachusetts Street.

To volunteer, people should call the Lawrence Parks and Recreation office at 832-3450.
