Phoenix ? Authorities say the Tucson, Ariz., congressional office of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords was vandalized a few hours after the House vote overhauling the nation’s health care system.

Someone either kicked or shot out a glass door and side window of the office early Monday, but it did not appear that anyone entered the office. Authorities are looking into whether a pellet gun was used.

There were no staffers in the office at the time, and no one was injured.

U.S. Capitol police have been notified of the crime, which Tucson police are investigating.

Authorities have not linked the vandalism to Sunday’s approval of the health care legislation, which Giffords, a Democrat, supported.

Over the past few weeks, both protesters and supporters of the legislation spent hours outside Giffords’ office, which is located in a small office complex.
