Democrat set to launch his campaign for 2nd District Congressional seat

? Democratic candidate for the U.S. House from northeast Kansas says he has a plan to touch the lives of all residents.

But Sean Tevis gave few details Tuesday during a Statehouse rally launching his campaign in the 2nd Congressional District. Tevis says his idea would end partisan bickering in Congress, and he plans to outline it further sometime soon.

Tevis faces Cheryl Hudspeth, of Girard, and Thomas Koch, of Leavenworth, in the Aug. 3 Democratic primary. Running in the Republican primary are incumbent Congresswoman Lynn Jenkins and state Sen. Dennis Pyle of Hiawatha.

Tevis is an information technology architect. He currently lives in the 3rd Congressional District and says he’s moving to Lawrence to establish residency in the 2nd District.
