Douglas County Youth Services recently received a $15,000 grant from the state’s Juvenile Justice Authority.

According to Pam Weigand, director of Youth Services, the funds will be used on an engineering update to security equipment.

Douglas County was among the state’s 12 juvenile detention centers to receive a total of nearly $400,000 in grants from the state.
