Great Bend ? A tornado touched down in central Kansas on Saturday afternoon, but authorities said no major damage or injuries were reported.

The National Weather Service said the tornado touched down in Barton County north of Great Bend about 6 p.m.

A Barton County sheriff’s dispatcher said some buildings in the area had sustained minor damage, but no injuries had been reported.
