Lawrence police use taser on uncooperative subject

Lawrence police used a taser Wednesday afternoon on a man after being called to a domestic disturbance at an east Lawrence mobile home park.

Officers were called to Brookwood Mobile Home Park, 1908 E. 19th, about 2 p.m. When they arrived, the suspect took off running.

Police Sgt. Bill Cory said the man was uncooperative and that’s when officers used the taser on him.

Medical crews were called check out the suspect, who was taken to Lawrence Memorial Hospital, which is the police department’s policy whenever a taser is used.
