Lawrence seeks $150,000 grant for energy audit
The city will vie for a $150,000 grant aimed at finding energy savings.
Commissioners agreed to submit an application to the Environmental Protection Agency for a grant that would pay for an energy audit of some of the city’s more complex systems, such as the series of pumps and devices used in the city’s water and sewer plants.
If the city wins the grant, it will be required to provide $75,000 in matching funds.
