Two more arrests made in relation to July 5 home invasion

Two Leavenworth residents were arrested late Saturday evening in relation to a Lawrence home invasion that occurred in early July.

According to Lawrence Police Sgt. Susan Hadl, the arrests stemmed from an incident that occurred in the 1400 block of Tennessee Street on July 5.

During the incident, a 31-year-old resident of the complex reported six unknown people had broke into the residence early Monday morning, removing property and threatening the resident with a knife.

Four suspects were arrested after the incident and police continued to search for the two others.

The Leavenworth men, both 18 years old, were located and arrested Saturday night for their involvement in the incident.

Both were booked into the Douglas County Jail shortly before midnight on charges of aggravated robbery and aggravated burglary.
