Symptoms of diabetes

According to the American Diabetes Association, those diagnosed with type 2 diabetes often have no symptoms. Below are signs that you might have the disease. If you have one or more of these symptoms, the American Diabetes Association advises seeing a doctor right away.

• Frequent urination

• Unusual thirst

• Extreme hunger

• Unusual weight loss

• Extreme fatigue and irritability

• Frequent infections

• Blurred vision

• Cuts or bruises that are slow to heal

• Tingling or numbness in the hands or feet

• Recurring skin, gum or bladder infections
