KCC’s Moffet resigns
Topeka ? Michael Moffet has resigned as a commissioner on the Kansas Corporation Commission, which regulates utilities.
He cited personal reasons, according to the KCC.
Moffet, of Lawrence, was first appointed to the three-member commission in 2004 by then-Gov. Kathleen Sebelius. He was reappointed by Gov. Mark Parkinson last July. The reappointment was pending before the Senate.
Prior to serving on the KCC, Moffet had been a consultant for SBC Communications Inc.
