To the editor:

I have a tendency to be a bit scatterbrained sometimes, and because of this I have lost my purse/wallet four times since moving here. Each time, I panic, freak out, start thinking about all of the items that I’ve lost, etc.

But, each time that this has occurred, everything has been returned! I lost it at Bargain Depot once (actually, my husband had my wallet and it fell out of his pocket), and it had a significant amount of cash in it. A man found it and returned it to my neighbor because we were out of town. He wouldn’t give his name, but I wanted so badly to thank him! He has no idea how much it meant to our family.

I’ve also lost my digital camera at the Dillons on Massachusetts Street and my entire purse at Bed Bath and Beyond. The camera had all of the pictures of our newborn son that was 3 weeks old at the time. My purse had been thrown out by my 4-year-old, but again, they were returned!!

So, you can see why I love this town. I’ve never lived anywhere where I actually feel safe.
