A 23-year-old Kansas City, Mo., woman was taken to Lawrence Memorial Hospital Wednesday evening after a single-vehicle accident.

According to reports from the Kansas Turnpike Authority, Sara Todd was driving just outside Lawrence near mile marker 202 when the right rear tire of her vehicle blew out. Todd lost control of the Pontiac Grand Am and struck the barrier wall.

She was transported by ambulance to LMH shortly after 6 p.m. where she was treated and released.
