Habitat for Humanity is hosting a celebration of the completion of the Mendoza family’s Habitat home at 9 a.m. Saturday at 1612 E. 15th St.

The celebration is an opportunity to thank those sponsors and volunteers who helped build the local Habitat affiliate’s 71st home. Overall, the building of the Mendoza home took more than a year to complete, and included contributions from various community fundraisers.

Organizers said the public can park across the street from the home at Lawrence Memorial Park.
