When Gov. Mark Parkinson delivers his first State of the State Address at 7 p.m. today, ordinary Kansans and government officials will be waiting to hear how he proposes to offset significant reductions in state revenues.
Parkinson, a Democrat, is expected to outline his plan and priorities for this year’s legislative session in a broadcast you can see streamed live online on LJWorld.com and on Sunflower Broadband’s Channel 6.
House Speaker Mike O’Neal will give the Republicans’ message, and that will also be carried live by both LJWorld.com and Channel 6.
Parkinson’s speech will be made to a joint session of the Kansas House and Senate and will be delivered from the House chambers in Topeka.
