Final candidate for KU School of Music dean is from University of Utah

The final candidate for dean of Kansas University’s School of Music is Robert Walzel, director and professor of music at the University of Utah School of Music.

Walzel will meet with faculty, staff, students and the public at a forum at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Swarthout Recital Hall in Murphy Hall.

Walzel joins Wade Weast, director of the University of South Florida’s School of Music, and Murry Sidlin, dean of the Benjamin T. Rome School of Music at the Catholic University of America in Washington, as finalists for the post.
